A Balanced Diet In Today’s Life
It is a common thought that a balanced diet helps people in maintaining and improving their general health. It is essential to consume the required amount of nutrients to obtain a healthy diet. Nutrients can be obtained through variety of food items in a designed diet plans. It is important that people plan and monitor their diet plans. This is so obvious that having an unhealthy intake can be a chief risk factor for the loads of chronic diseases which are common today.
A common problem today is High Blood Pressure. It is important to identify how to control and manage it since it’s a condition that increases the risk for heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, and other health complications. The choices we make in our lifestyle can go a long way towards preventing high blood pressure. People who don’t already have high blood pressure, should become familiar with healthy habits to reduce their risk of ever getting it. People, who already have high blood pressure, should immediately adopt healthy lifestyle to lower their blood pressure and decrease their risk of developing major worries.
Managing tension is an important remedy in this regard. Remember, obesity is one of the result of having a stressful life. Relaying on modern appliances, people enjoy more physical rest and do less physical activity. With the influx of 1-Pads, video games, remote controls, smart phones, and other modern devices are the examples of inventions that have made a human body more static and less mobile finally resulting into obesity. Eating too much and exercising too little can play a huge role in obesity. Believe it or not, a person’s risk of obesity increases, when that person does not have enough sleep. Heaviness can lead to diabetes, heart disease, and other problems.
Regrettably, most of us are in a habit of not eating enough of important food groups.
The following steps must be followed in our daily life:
. Eating enough fruits and vegetables which provide vitamins, minerals and fiber that our body needs. Remember! Natural substances work as a team to protect good health while medicines and supplements don’t provide all the nutrients. Different color fruits and vegetables comprise an assortment of disease-fighting phytochemicals that effort together with vitamins and minerals to shield our health.
Following things are important to consume on our diet
* Green (i.e. spinach, romaine lettuce, peas, broccoli, limes)
* Yellow/Orange (i.e. carrots, squash, sweet corn, oranges)
* Red (i.e. tomato sauce, tomatoes, red peppers, cherries, watermelon
*Blue/Purple (i.e. blueberries, eggplant, grapes, and plums)
*White (i.e. cauliflower, mushrooms, onions, bananas, pears)
A common man is not much aware of health issues and nutrient’s benefits. Males are significantly less likely than females to distinguish the health benefits of fruits and vegetables, such as their role in reducing the risk of many diseases such as cancers, heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Here, this is very important to tell that men have high rates of diet-related diseases similarly they have approximately 1.5 times more
death rate of total cardiovascular diseases as women. Moreover men have approximately 1.5 times more death rate of total cancers as women. Males have approximately 2 times more death rate of lung cancer as women. More than two-thirds of males are overweight or obese.
According to the same report, many young men wonder if dietary supplements can help them grow taller, give them bigger muscles or make them better athletes. However, supplements cannot take the place of a healthy diet and regular exercise. Advertisements for supplements often promise big results without scientific data to back up their claims.
I would like to conclude by saying that by taking proper diet with all food groups, regular exercise, showing gratitude to God and all, forgetting minor things and thinking positively, we can stay longer and happier.
